Version 1.0 · Effective 26 June 2025
HeatNet Designer is currently released as a prototype for public review, feedback, and evaluation. Features, calculations, and interfaces are subject to change as the product continues to develop. We welcome suggestions, bug reports, and professional feedback to help shape the final product.
This prototype status does not reduce your obligations under these Terms. All intellectual property protections, confidentiality requirements, and usage restrictions apply in full regardless of the development stage of the Software.
All intellectual property rights in the Software, including the source code, algorithms, hydraulic calculation engine, user interface designs, data models, documentation, branding, and all related materials, are and shall remain the exclusive property of HeatNet Designer and its creator(s).
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Software beyond the limited licence set out in Section 4.
The Software contains proprietary and confidential information, including trade secrets. You agree to keep confidential all aspects of the Software, including its features, capabilities, calculation methods, and any information shared during demonstrations or discussions.
You must not disclose, publish, or share confidential information with any third party without prior written consent. This obligation continues after termination of these Terms.
Network designs and project data you create remain your property. The Software may store project data locally in your browser and, if you opt in, in cloud storage provided by a third-party infrastructure provider. We do not sell, share, or monetise your project data.
The Software relies on a number of third-party services and open-source technologies - including for hosting and content delivery, authentication and cloud storage, mapping and GIS visualisation, and front-end libraries. Each such third-party service is subject to its own terms of service and privacy policy.
The Software is a preliminary design and sizing tool. All calculations, results, and recommendations are indicative and must be verified by a qualified engineer before use in any final design, procurement, or construction.
Standards references (CIBSE CP1:2020, EN 253:2019, EN 13941:2019, TS1, HNTAS) are provided for context only. The Software does not replace professional engineering judgement, and compliance with any standard must be independently verified.
